The Great Race Cadiz 2012 will feature a program of major concerts from Wednesday 25 to Saturday July 28. On Wednesday, 25 will celebrate the “Fiesta Fiesta” on Canal Sur Radio, with over twenty artists of our land in this tour.
On Thursday, 26 will be the turn of the artist Eddie Palmieri and his band Perfect II. Winner of 9 Grammy Latino, Palmieri is known for his charisma and genius avant-garde, with a career spanning more than 50 years as a bandleader in the genres of salsa and Latin jazz with a discography that includes 36 titles. Bring their Latin beats. And after Palmieri will continue to act that night the band The Branch, a benchmark of live bands and salsa quality in Europe.
On Friday, 27 will be the turn of Macaco that after the great success of his performance in the free summer concerts held in the Victoria Beach in 2010, will make you dance to locals and visitors this time in the Great Race. Known by all, this artist will bring to Cadiz items on his new album entitled “The murmur of the fire”, loaded doses of joy and rhythms inspired by reggae music.
And on Saturday 28 will be time to enjoy one of the most celebrated American artists of all time, the artist Panamanian Ruben Blades, which is undoubtedly the highlight of the concerts of the Great Race. Blades have recorded the best-selling salsa album in history (Sow, 1978) and his career has won 6 Grammy Awards and numerous awards.
